Welcome to the Portland Plaza

Floor Recycle Pilot Gets Go-ahead for All Floors

The on-floor recycle pilot project set up by the Sustainability Committee has been well received by the five floors testing it out. People enjoy the convenience, aren't noticing any problems with odors or noise, and find the posted information useful.  The Board approved extending the project to the entire condominium, so the additional floors will be outfitted with bins and residents provided with instructional materials for a start on May 16th.

Residents are invited to a Launch Party on May 21. Kyenne Williams from City of Portland Multi-Family Recycling will provide tips for successful recycling and answer questions from residents about which materials can be recycled.

Curtain Wall Work Moves to SW 5th Ave May 21

Status on May 16:  Highrise Glass plans to move the panel replacement work from the north side to the SW 5th Avenue elevation on Monday, May 21st; this will involve the '06 and '01 units. Residents and guests must take care on the 5th Avenue side since workers will be overhead. Restoration of the vertical and mullion strips has begun on the South elevation. Window screens will remain on throughout the project, until all screens are replaced and the windows washed at the end of the project this summer.

Living Here

Life at the Plaza, if we do say so ourselves, is pretty incredible. Located within walking distance to the downtown core, museums, theaters, and concert halls, the Plaza is at the heart of the city. One of Portland’s largest farmer’s markets happens three blocks away during the spring and summer months.

History of the Portland Plaza

Susan L, Cam and Eugene have volunteered to go through the boxes of historical information and pull together our building's history. If you have knowledge, or if you are interested in the subject, please see one of those folks.
